Let’s talk about power. You flip a switch, and boom: lights on. But ever wondered how we get all that electricity? As the world races toward cleaner energy, nuclear power has re-entered the chat, and it’s causing quite a stir.
Here’s the deal: Nuclear energy generates electricity without pumping CO? into the atmosphere, which is a big win for climate goals. It’s super efficient and reliable. But it also comes with baggage - radioactive waste, high setup costs, and a fear of the word “meltdown.”
Countries like France and Canada are pro-nuclear, while others remain skeptical. In India, although nuclear currently contributes just around 3% to our electricity mix, things are heating up – with plans to triple capacity to 22.5 GW by 2031–32 and an ambitious target of 100 GW by 2047.
Now it’s your turn. We want to know what you think. By voting, you're not just clicking a button; you're helping shape how we understand the future of energy together.
It’s now time to support informed, sustainable choices — take the poll and power up your opinion!
What’s your view on using nuclear energy to generate electricity?
