Later the devadatta had asked a woman to hold a toy baby and throw in a well when he tells her. So , when swamiji was nearer to devadatta , the disciple asks woman silently to throw the baby toy into well. The swamiji having heard the sound of a baby falling into the well he rushed and dives into well to rescue. By seeing that it is a toy the swamiji gets angry on woman. But devadatta tells swamy that you can order me to save the baby , but you only dived to save the baby. This in the same manner the lord Vishnu also came rescuing the elephant. By seeing the cleverness of disciple the swamy makes him his one of the best disciple.
